This Privacy Policy explains how Simple Weight Tracker collects, stores, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application on iOS and Android. By using the app you agree to the practices described below.

Information We Collect

We only collect information you voluntarily enter into the app:

• Body measurements — weight, height, BMI, body-fat percentage, waist circumference
• Personal profile — name, date of birth, sex, ethnicity (used only for ethnicity-adjusted health indices)
• Health goals and preferences
• Progress photos — stored privately on your device
• Habit and lifestyle logs

We do not collect passwords, payment card details, or precise location data.

How Your Data Is Stored

Progress photos are saved in the app’s private container (Application Support on iOS, app-internal storage on Android) and are not visible to other apps, the Files app, or your photo library.

Data Retention

Your data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed. No personal data is transmitted to or retained by our servers.

• Weight entries and profile data — retained until you delete them in-app or uninstall the app.
• Progress photos — retained until you delete them within the app or uninstall the app.
• Apple Health / Google Fit sync — data written to those platforms is governed by Apple’s / Google’s own retention policies.
• Anonymous analytics and crash reports collected by Firebase Analytics are retained for up to 14 months per Google Firebase’s policy.

How to Delete Your Data

You can permanently delete all your data at any time using any of these methods:

1. In-app deletion: Go to Settings → Data Management → Delete All Data. This permanently removes all weight entries, profile information, and progress photos from your device.
2. Device settings (Android): Go to Settings → Apps → Simple Weight Tracker → Storage → Clear Data.
3. Uninstall: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device immediately.

If you would like us to confirm that no server-side data exists for you, email us at support@simpleworks.app and we will respond within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

The free version of the app uses the following third-party SDKs that may collect anonymised, non-personal data:

• Google AdMob — serves advertisements. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / GAID on Android) if you grant tracking permission. On iOS 14+, we request App Tracking Transparency consent before any personalised ads are shown.

• Google Firebase Analytics — collects anonymised usage statistics (e.g. screen views, crash reports). No personal health data is included in these reports.

The Pro (ad-free) version does not display ads. Firebase Analytics may still collect anonymised crash data to help us improve stability.

Health Data & Platform Integrations

If you enable Health Sync, the app reads and writes weight entries to Apple Health (iOS) or Google Fit (Android). This data is not shared with any third party by us; it is used solely to keep your health data in sync across apps on your device.

Children’s Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

All data stored locally on your device benefits from device-level encryption (iOS Data Protection / Android Keystore). We use flutter_secure_storage for sensitive values, which leverages the platform’s secure enclave where available.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. The current version is always available at this URL and within the app under Settings → Privacy Policy. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
